Bokeh Christmas Lights

Happy new year everybody,

Hope you had a great Holiday season with lots of nice photography moments.

Today I´m going to share with you a couple of photos I took on the Christmas Eve with my 7 year old son. We were playing with the camera and I remembered it would be cool to teach him how to photograph Christmas lights with cool shapes using the Boken effect of a fast lens wide aperture.

So we did out of paper the cover for the lens and we cut heart and star shape hols to do the trick.

The result is really cool, and the kids love it.

It´s a simple process that you can easily do on one raining afternoon, and use your imagination to create nice compositions. We choose some Christmas ornaments and this was the result.

I found this YouTube tutorials (full credits to it authors) to help you out on the process.

Have a photographic 2015.
